William Hinton – Rum from Madeira


The Story

William Hinton set up his sugar mill and rum distillery in Madeira in 1845 where he produced the finest rum from carefully selected fresh sugar cane juice. The original know-how travelled across generations until one of his heirs founded ENM (Engenho Novo da Madeira) and restored the old original alembic to produce the finest Rum da Madeira once again.

Thanks to the excellent sugar cane used, Rum da Madeira is distilled only once, keeping the flavour and freshness.
