CONDE DE CUBA rum is harvested, distilled, aged and bottled in a small town in the province of Las Tunas, in southeastern Cuba. Here there is a perfect climate to grow the native sugar cane “Medialuna”. All production takes place within the plantation. The distillery “The Ron Sevilla Factory”, a sugar factory and the storage cellars are located here. The distillery has existed since 1946 and employs about 25 people who can produce up to 5,500 bottles a day. The rums of CONDE DE CUBA are 100% handmade.
After the harvest, the sugar cane is pressed. The fresh sugarcane juice is boiled to extract molasses. Fermentation is done with the help of yeasts in large tanks. Distillation takes place in 5 copper column stills. The brandies are then aged for several years in oak barrels (220 l or 380 l).
The rums of CONDE DE CUBA are typical Cuban rums. They are light and well balanced.
