You may have heard the term, the Angel’s Share, in reference to that portion of a distilled spirit volume that is lost through evaporation during the ageing process. You may have been told that the Angels reserve this “share” for themselves, taking it before the barrel is even open, and leaving the rest to us poor Demons.

Monymusk Plantation Rums is distilled and blended by National Rums of Jamaica Limited, The name Monymusk comes from the sugar estate bearing the same name which produced rum and sugar before the abolition of slavery and continues to support the distillery with rich Jamaican molasses.
The idea of Grape of the Art was born during a blind tasting of our Rum & Whisky group in Stuttgart, in which we were just stunned by the outstanding quality and variety of Armagnac.
Like most islands in the Caribbean, Antigua once had an abundance of sugar plantations and each had its own brand of rum. In the early 20th century, however, production on the plantations declined and so-called rum stores took over the tradition. In 1934, several of these rum stores joined forces and developed Antigua Distillery Limited. Over time, the new company acquired several estates and a sugar factory.
